We started English class today with students writing down as many questions as they could about Maslow's Hierarchy of needs. I had given a VERY brief overview, but deliberately did not provide much detail. Students were asked to provide at least 15 questions. At the end of about 10 minutes, I had table groups discuss their questions and choose their favorite 5. They then posted them to a padlet. To see all of the wonderful questions posted, please link to: QFT Padlet - Maslow.
After the QFT, students stayed with their table groups and began working on understanding Maslow's Hierarchy. Each table has a specific level of the hierarchy that they will become experts on. We will then break into additional groups where students will teach one another, but we did not get that far today.
